December sees the launch of chidd.org/code. This is a test program to bring the world of computer coding to Chiddingfold and the surrounding villages. The target audience is particularly aimed at women and girls who want to learn or need a bit of help with computing.

The courses are free and held virtually until COVID rules allow some distanced face to face activities. Here is the mid-term plan to get you going.

  • Dec-Jan 2020 – 4 week total beginner course
  • Feb-Mar 2020 – 4week Python basics
  • May-Jun 2020 – 4 week Maker basics – Arduino & Raspeberry Pi

If you want to join, please use the contact form to introduce to yourself and we’ll give you all the details. There is no age limit, but there is an upper limit on numbers. The courses consist of 5 early evening video calls and some activities to perform between each call. The more activities you perform, the more you’ll get out of the course.

If you manage to build something that you want to show off, it might appear on this site.
